RESULT: As an attached tiny-house ADU, this family housing unit will allow for individual privacy while maximizing the space available for construction.

DESIGN DETAILS: The owner and intended occupant set clear goals to be met in terms of amenities, budget, and environmental comfort. This project gave all stakeholders ample opportunity to flesh out every detail and square inch with integrative approaches to the design which included input from the builder. In addition to hookups allowing a hot-tub and shade sails, there is a heavy emphasis on natural light was achieved through multiple windows along a single North-facing wall which accommodates prescriptive structural details that maintain an affordable budget and privacy regarding neighbors and the primary residence’s occupants. Water efficiency standards are exceeded with rain catchment and gray water irrigation.
